It tells the tale of a bookie and his not-quite-straight runners who are hiding a racehorse in the cellar of The Bull and Cow, a country inn near Cheltenham newly bought by a retired Indian Army Colonel and his wife. </div> <div> The bookie has a cunning get-rich-quick plan involving the said horse.
